Sculpt Four

 I am almost at the tail end of Three...

Well sort of... 

Trying to learn as much realism as I can, my teacher tells me there are a few things I must change about her to make her more real.

Big things.

I dont have the guts in my to ruin her. I am afraid if I start to change her I wont be able to fix her....

So I decide its about time Four is ready to be started.

I am doing a lot of profile photos because my big problem was that the nose and mouth of Three stuck out too far.

So far Four gets a little bit of a flatter face.

So looking at these photos she was really cute!

I actually saw girl too!

I've started sculpting on her again. Its been so hot to paint so I figured sculpting is a good way to fill the void.

Look how she changed

For some reason its the mouth that always throws me for a loop.

I started to really dislike this look and the words of Sandy came to mind....' don't get attached to your sculpt.' I knew it had to go.

So off came the mouth.

I shortened the philtrum and the mouth length.

This is a bit better. I'll look at it with fresh eyes tomorrow.

Ok next day and a little more to her.... did I say her??? Could this be girl?

Again the mouth changed.

(sorry for the knee picture... mosquitoes are a plague this year... so are ants!)

Something is wrong and I haven't figured it out yet... its off... hmmmmm.. anybody wanna give me feedback?

Yep, it totally takes me forever to finish stuff. Well my own stuff.

I look back on these previous photos and I see girl. Loved her then.

Now that I've added more clay, I see boy. Not sure if I love this sculpt anymore.

Do I scrap??

Now it is a few days later and I just dont like him. So I am changing him. And yeah, the girl I was trying to make became boy. UGH

Oh and here are some hands....

Forget the hands, I stink at them.. Rin is going to be a head and.... TUMMY PLATE!
